Struggling to get your veggies in at breakfast? Not a fan of veggies in general? Here’s a way to get them in without tasting them. Weird as it sounds, you can put spinach in your coffee, blend it to smithereens and not know it’s there…unless you look at it. Your coffee will taste like your flavored coffee…but it’ll be bright green. Don’t let that stop you…I promise you’ll love it. Give it a try. Change up the flavor use hazelnut or caramel, or even cocoa to make a mocha… If you have flavored coffees like the k-cup kind, you can use those too. Any flavor will do. Enjoy!

I was surprised that I could not taste the spinach. Really good! But then. This is Elena’s recipe.
Hide the veggies! my specialty 🙂
I will hide a veggie as often as I can!
Ok, newbie here – what’s a “F” in the category of (S, E…) don’t wanna assume but is it a FP?
Hello Cathy, Thank you for your question. All of my recipes are categorized in a very straightforward manner. S meals are F for fats. E meal are C for carbs. FP are LF for Low Fuel and deep S are EFB for Extreme Fat Burning. The THM designation is referenced at the very top of the recipe next to the title.
I finally remembered to toss some spinach in my coffee this morning. It was undetectable! You are a genius!
Wondering if this could be added to the “unbrewed coffee” and then brewed that way as raw spinach affects thyroid issues.
If you don’t have an aversion to the taste of cooked spinach, sure. My goal here is to get it in and not taste it as I’m not a fan. Give it a try, let me know how it turns out.
Have you tried kale in place of spinach?
I chose spinach because it’s really neutral and you don’t taste it in the coffee. Kale I’m sure will have a presence… but if you want, give it a shot.
I loved this you cannot tell it has spinach way to go Elena❤️
Is it ok to use Gentle Sweet or super sweet blend? I’ve never heard of the sweetners you use. Thanks! Willing to try it, since I’m fine with spinach anyway.
Hi Trisha, I only use my sweetener blend which I’ve named SweetEs fusion sweet. If you’ll notice the words are in red in the recipe which signifies a clickable link. If you click on that link, it takes you to my recipe for fusion sweet, which is comparable to gentle sweet. I’m more of a DIY person, so I make my own everything.. 🙂 So to answer your question, yes you can use gentle sweet.
another winner! Had chocolate whey powder to use. Can’t taste another but delicious coffee and feel good about getting some greens in.
I do not drink coffee. Will this work with Tea?
You can give it a shot
This looks interesting. I don’t have a blender that will work with hot liquids but I use a stick/immersion blender every day for my collagen and mct in coffee. Would that work?
Hi Susan, unfortunately an immersion blender doesn’t have the power to completely obliterate the spinach. You will have chunks of spinach in your coffee going that route. If you have a really good blender, maybe cool off about half cup of your coffee first, then blend that with the spinach. Heat it back up, and add the rest of your coffee and all the other stuff and then use your immersion blender on it. Give that a shot. Just make sure your spinach is good and blended. The only evidence of it should be the color. Good luck!
BEST COFFEE EVER!!!!
