Creamy Choats (LF)
Do you miss Cream of Wheat? Back in the day I used to love that stuff. Since starting THM almost 4 years ago, I have been on a quest to not just create delicious recipes, but to recreate versions of some of my old favs. That's how this was born. It's creamy, yummy, delicious and cooks up in a jif!

This is awesome! Filling and tasty, and so hard to believe it’s a low fuel (fuel pull). I make this one on a very regular basis. I can keep it as low fuel, or add extra fats to make it an F/S or add some toast to make it a C/E meal. Love it!
So glad you’re enjoying it! Try some of my other porridges on the site. They’re all quite yummy!
Love this recipe!
Love this Breakfast!!.. I use a little less nutmilk to make it thicker, but otherwise, all is the same!.. Very very quick and easy to make and most important of all…. delicious!!
This is delicious!!!!!!! I’ve finally landed on a “cream of wheat” type warm breakfast that I love!!!. Thank you for coming up with this. The taste and texture are so so good, it’s quick and simple, and because it’s an FP I don’t have to skip cream in my coffee! 5 stars and 2 thumbs up from me!
Wohoo! You actually have the ability to rate it…directly across from the title. 🙂
Is the sweetener comparable to THM Gentle Sweet?
Yes ma’am. If you click the link for my fusion sweet, it tells you that it is comparable to gentle sweet. All items in red are clickable links. 🙂
This is so good! I have made it twice so far, once with a little chocolate extract so it reminded me of Coco Wheats. Yum! This is quickly becoming one of my go-to breakfasts. Thanks, Elena!
I multiplied this recipe times 8 (all the dry ingredients) and put it in a quart size jar. I scoop out 1/4 of a cup and put it in my cereal bowl along with my almond milk and microwave it. I add sweetener to taste and just skip the extracts. This is so good and is almost a daily breakfast for me.
Wohoo!
This is a comfort food to me. A favorite breakfast go to.
Correct me where I am wrong, please. A 1/4 c oats has 16 carbs, correct?
1/4 cup of oats has approximately 11 net carbs. With carbs it’s more the behavior of the food, aka the impact, rather than the actual number. Ingredients trump numbers every time. So if you you’re questioning how this can be FP, that’s how.
