This is a quick yummy dish, that comes together easily and can either be a side, or a main dish. I like my veggies to have a bite, so I cook it for just a few minutes. But that’s my preference, it may not be yours. Feel free to cook longer if you want softer veggies
Ingredients
- 1 lb Conecuh Cajun sausage (or whatever kind you can find)
- 1/4 cup diced scallions
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 Tbsp liquid aminos ( can use soy sauce instead)
- 1/2 tsp adobo seasoning (I use the Goya brand)
- 1 lb shredded cabbage
Instructions
- Slice sausage into 1/8” rounds
- Place in large skillet over medium high heat
- Brown sausage for about 5-6 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add onions, broth, liquid aminos and seasonings. Stir to combine.
- Add cabbage and turn with tongs, until all cabbage is saturated with liquid, and sausage pieces are on top. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
- For softer cabbage cook an additional 10-15 minutes
