Buttery Breasts (EFB) ​

Ingredients

Brine

  • 2 Tbsp salt
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 gallon water enough to cover breasts
  • 3 large boneless chicken breasts

Seasonings

  • 1/2 tsp mineral salt
  • 1/4 tsp creole seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp Nutiva buttery coconut oil
  • 2 Tbsp butter

Instructions

Brine

  • Prepare brine in deep bowl - place breasts in brine making sure they’re fully covered.
  • Let sit in brine 25 minutes

Finishing

  • While chicken is brining, make a rub of seasonings - set aside
  • At the 20 minute mark of brining, place heavy skillet on stove over medium heat - add butter and buttery coconut oil- allow to heat but not burn
  • Remove chicken from brine, slice each breast in half to butterfly it- rub both sides with seasonings.
  • Place into heated skillet , cook 10 minutes per side until cooked through.
