This is a slightly sweet bread that is suitable as a dessert, if you drizzle my Light Chocolate Ganache over it, or an accompaniment to your breakfast or lunch for that matter. The best part, is that it fits the THM deep S category.
Turn oven on to 450, spray oven safe pan (cast iron is best) with cooking spray and place empty pan in oven. Allow to heat while making bread mixture
Mix all dry ingredients in bowl.
Add in warm milk and oil and mix until incorporated.
Add beaten egg last and mix until smooth
Remove pan from oven, reduce temperature to 350, and leave oven door open to normalize temperature
Scrape batter into hot pan, smooth out with spatula
Make cinnamon swirl by combining ingredients in small bowl or cup and mixing well with a spoon. Drizzle over batter, then lightly run a fork through to swirl.
Place in oven - close door then bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
