Tasty, flavorful steak and caramelized roasted, Brussels sprouts, cooked in the same pan and roasted to perfection. The longest part of this process is cleaning your sprouts, but once done, the rest is easy peasy! The directions have you jumping around a bit, but if you follow them, they’re pretty straightforward.
Ingredients
FOR STEAK
- 1 lb steak of your choosing- boneless and 1/2” thick I used London Broil
- 1/2 tsp mineral salt
- 1 tsp adobo seasoning
- 1/2 tsp steak seasoning
- 1 Tbsp liquid aminos
- 1 Tbsp Worcester sauce
- 1/2 tsp liquid smoke
- 1 Tbsp coconut or avocado oil
FOR SPROUTS
- 1 lb fresh Brussels sprouts
- 1 Tbsp liquid aminos
- 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp SweetEs fusion sweet
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Season steak on both sides with all dry seasonings.
- Mix liquid seasoning in small bowl, then pour over steak
- Let stake marinade for 15 minutes
- Preheat oven to 400– now, skip to step 9 below
- Add oil to large oven proof grill pan, then place on stove over high heat
- When pan is hot, just before smoking point, add steak to pan and sear about 3 minutes, then pour remaining marinade over top.
- Flip steak over, then place in oven for 5-7 minutes, if you like your steak well done. Remove from oven, place in platter, then let rest for 10-15 minutes. Reserve juices in pan — Now go to step 12 below
- If you prefer it medium to medium well, just cook on stovetop about 2 minutes per side, and skip the oven altogether.
- Prepare your sprouts.
- While steak is marinating, peel off the top layer of leaves from each sprout, cut stem off, then cut each one into thirds.
- Place your prepared sprouts in bowl then add all seasonings. Now go back to Step 5 above.
- Place seasoned sprouts into pan used to cook steak and coat pieces in steak juices. Layer pieces in single layer in pan, increase oven to 450
- Roast for 10 minutes, then flip pieces over and roast an additional 5 minutes.
