Daikon radishes! Sooo versatile as I’m finding out. Try these fries! They’re not crispy, but they’re yummy!
Ingredients
- 1 medium daikon radish
- 2 Tbsp salt- divided
- 1 Tbsp Nutiva buttery coconut oil
- 1/4 tsp adobo seasoning
- 1/4 tsp creole seasoning
- 1 tsp SweetEs fusion sweet
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- fresh cracked black pepper
Instructions
- Rinse, peel and cut daikon into French fry sticks
- Place in mixing bowl with 1 Tbsp of salt. Rub well-let sit for 15 minutes. This draws out the bitterness.
- Pour fries into colander and rinse well with cold water.
- Place fries in pot of water large enough to cover fries, and second Tbsp of salt. Boil for 8-10 minutes. Fries should still be firm
- Drain and dry with paper towels, then season with additional seasonings
- Heat skillet large enough to lay fries in single layer, then add coconut oil.
- Cook fries 3-5 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
